Michelle Yeoh Proved That Bleached Brows Aren't Just for Gen Z

She's the second A-lister to give the look a spin in less than a week.

Unlike bleaching your hair platinum blonde or chopping it all off into a pixie, bleaching your brows is a relatively low-commitment way to transform your look and make a big impact. Oscar-winning actor Michelle Yeoh gave the aesthetic a spin during Paris Fashion Week, attending the Le Grand Diner du Louvre with her brows looking quite a bit lighter than usual.

Yeoh just stunned us all at the Oscars in a sleek updo and bright cobalt blue Balenciaga gown, and now the actor is off to Paris for the shows. For the extremely fancy and exclusive celebration, which also hosted Gigi Hadid, Doechii, and many other fashion luminaries, Yeoh said “See ya later!” to her brows—so much so that they were nearly invisible from some angles.

Because the brows were such a statement, Yeoh kept the rest of her glam details soft and simple, wearing her hair in a straight, shiny bob that hit just below her jawline, styled by Robert Vetica. Makeup artist Soo Park added delicate warmth with rosy blush and a matching eye and lip. Yeoh's one-shoulder black Balenciaga gown and luxe matching wrap set off the brows beautifully.

There's a reason bleached and ultra-light brows are a mainstay in editorial photoshoots and on the runway; they make everything feel more high-fashion, and you can easily dye the brows back when you're done. (And if you don't want to use bleach, you can also fake the look with makeup!)

This isn't the first time Yeoh has surprised and delighted us with her beauty choices. For the Los Angeles Wicked premiere in November, she lived the Galinda life for a night and wore a fluffy, curly blonde wig on the red carpet.

And speaking of the Oscars, Miley Cyrus made a big splash when she stepped on the red carpet with her naturally dark brows bleached almost to nothingness. Now that two major A-list stars have given super-pale brows their stamp of approval, we have a feeling that more and more people will be giving the style a spin, even just for a night or two. And you don't even need Madame Morrible's powers of sorcery to do it!
