Dainty tattoos will never not be a good idea. With a great artist, sweet design, and pretty placement, it's a lovely way to make something meaningful—or something that you just saw and liked on a flash sheet—last forever without taking up the eye-catching real estate of a bigger tattoo if that's not your thing. And it seems dainty tattoos are very much Sarah Michelle Gellar's thing because she just got not one but two new ones right on her hands.
Gellar, who's rumored to be involved in a Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot, shared a photo to her Instagram Story in which she was attending an Alo event that, in addition to a workout, was offering the opportunity to get fine-line tattoos. (Um… can I get a workout/tattoo event in my area, please and thank you?) “What get a new tattoo… ok?!?” she captioned the photo, tagging the artist, Amanda Merkatz.
Perhaps Gellar simply couldn't pick a favorite because she ended up getting two new tattoos. “Fine I'll get one,” she wrote on the new photo, which shows the back of her right hand and what appears to be an adorable artistic rendering of a constellation (though don't ask me which) between her thumb and pointer finger.
The next photo shows her left hand—specifically the side of her pointer finger—on which there's a teensy little “xo” in script. “Maybe two,” she wrote, but considering it's permanent, I'm gonna go with definitely two. (Also, shoutout to her fabulous red-tipped French manicure.)
Gellar is no stranger to getting inked; she has several tattoos, and none of them are especially sizeable. But as her latest additions to her collection prove, size definitely doesn't matter when it comes to getting a great tattoo.
